Laurie Gilliam Obituary

Laurie Wallas Gilliam MONCKS CORNER - Laurie Wallas Gilliam, 70 of Moncks Corner, husband of Dorothy Gilliam entered into eternal rest on September 25, 2009, at a local hospital. Born June 2, 1939, in Aiken South Carolina to the late Laurie Gilliam and Eva Mitchell Mc Dermott, Mr. Gilliam worked 35 years as a market manager at Doscher's super makert and Rodenberg's. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with many life long friends and sons. Mr. Gilliam loved to participate in all of the grandchildren's activities, all were # 1 in his heart. Survivors include; his wife of 52 years Dorothy Gilliam, the love of his life and whom he enjoyed traveling camping and fishing. Sons, Laurie Wallas Gilliam, Jr (Lori),Barry Breland Gilliam (Cheryll) sister, Lorine White, Sylvia Revelfse (Victor) brother, William Gilliam (Betty). He was a loving Papa to grandchildren; Tiffany Gilliam, Mary Gilliam, Tyler Gilliam (Hard Rock) and Kirsten Gilliam, two step-grandchildren; Ryan Wilhite and Kyle Wilhite and many special nieces and nephews. Mr. Gilliam was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, David Gilliam. The family will receive family and friends on Monday, September 28, 2009, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC. Mr. Gilliam service will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009, 10 AM, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
