Aunt Laura was THE BOMB! When we all would sit on the porch during those parades, she and Uncle James would have me cracking up. She was always fun to hang around and talk with. I will miss seeing her sitting on the porch and watching all the activities going on King & Sumter streets. Aunt Laura didn't play and she would let you know where to go and how to get there(wink). I loved that about her.I know that a family that prays together, stays together. Grandmomma Jeannie left an awesome foundation for us to follow. It's up to us to do what we were taught to do.

She gave me an angel that I still have in my house to this day. It was a blessing knowing her and I am so glad God let our paths cross. God Bless you all.

Wow, my family and I were just talking about our younger years and all those parents who had a part of our growing up. We knew that Ms. Laura was sick and we were to pay a surprise visit; but I know that we got the surprise when we found out about her death. To the family (our St. Phillip Street/Cannon Street)-our extended family; our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. May God be your Strength and Comforter as you go from day to day.
