Laura Williams Obituary

I remember when my Mom (Blanche Smalls) was in Roper Hospital, she would always offer my Mom and I such wonderful words of encouragement. You will be sorely missed. Will see you one day!

In memory of a wonderful Lay Worship Director. Ms. Williams was dedicated to her responsibilities as director of worship for the 7th Episcopal District. She will be sorely missed.
My prayers are that the family know that she was loved and respected throughout the A.M.E.Church.

Please know that Sister Laura was very special to all who knew her. She would always give me a hug, a kiss and ask about my mother every time that she saw Me. Trust in the Lord and he will see you through this until you meet again. We worked together in the SED Lay Organization.

We are all deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our family member, who went by so many different names. For myself, my siblings and cousins, she was called "Aunt Laura". She was such an influential person in our lives growing up and a great support system for our family. Subconsciously, we idealized her, as many of us had great interest in the nursing or similar fields. Today, she will be missed. It will never be the same. Holidays will never be the same. She held no hatred in her heart and her family was her first love. I will truly miss you and I greatly appreciate you for being a part of my life. Rest in peace now and forever!
