Laura Sloane-Pace Summerville - Laura Kathleen Sloane-Pace, 56, of Summerville, SC passed away Saturday, December 12, 2015 at her residence. A Memorial Service will be Monday afternoon, December 21, 2015 at 1 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frances Willis SPCA, or Agape Hospice, 2680 Elms Plantation Blvd, #101, North Charleston, SC 29406. Friends are invited to enjoy a light lunch immediately after the service at 104 Mary Celestia Dr., Summerville, SC 29483. Laura was born August 8, 1959 in Charleston, SC, a daughter of Marilyn McCord Sloane and Harry S. Sloane of Lodge. She was a retired Detective with the Summerville Police Department. She is survived by 3 loving pets; brother, Randy (Carolyn) Sloane; one niece and one nephew, all of TN; and a brother-in-law, William "Bill" Pace of Moncks Corner. In addition to her parents, Laura is predeceased by her wife, Helen Claire Pace, and a brother, Timothy Sloane.
