Laura Hernandez Obituary

Laura Hernandez LADSON - Our beloved Laura Adair Hernandez left this world too soon, on July 29, 2025. She was just 40 years old. Laura was a sweet and nurturing presence in the lives of those who knew her best. Her sentimental heart held great love and nostalgia for her friends and family, and she expressed that by creating the feeling of home wherever she went. More than just a striking beauty, Laura was brave in her pursuit of joy. She expressed that spirit through baking, homemaking, crafting, supporting her friends, and taking care of her cherished dogs. She was a friend to the forgotten, carrying compassion that made her a light in the lives of those around her. That warmth made her a true gift to everyone who felt it. Her presence will be forever missed. Holidays in the kitchen, carefree days on the beach, long chats, and lazy movie-watching days already feel emptier without her. Laura is survived by her father, and best friend, Edward Hernandez; her mother, Donna; her sister, Dana; and an extended family, whose hearts are simply broken. She is preceded in death by her treasured dog, Tippsey, uncles, and grandparents, who we're sure are holding her now and reaffirming what she meant to our family. "Those we love but lose are no longer where they were; they are wherever we are." - Victor Hugo "We grieve not only what was, but what should have been." - Allison Gilbert She was more precious to us than we had time in this life to show her. Until we are together again, "tag, Laura, you're it." A private memorial will be held on October 5 in Acworth, Georgia; if you wish to attend, please reach out to the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charleston Animal Society (charlestonanimalsociety.org).

I love Laura so much! You all became like family to me especially when my dad passed away and I will never ever forget it! From sleepovers to just dinner after school... going to the car wash to get money from Mr. Ed to go out to eat or shopping. You all were like my family for a very important time in my life. Words cant express how I feel about this, but I know Laura's heart, and I know she's in heaven celebrating better than she ever could have on earth!
