Laura Dingler Obituary

Laura Lee Dingler, affectionately known as "Yaya," passed away on October 17, 2025, in Summerville, South Carolina, at the age of 63. Born on May 23, 1962, in Streamwood, Illinois, Laura was the beloved daughter of H. Bruce Dingler and Nancy Miller. A proud graduate of Summerville High School, Laura was known for her fearless spirit, strong will, and unwavering love for her family. Her personality touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Laura began her working life at Shoney's, where she built lifelong friendships and made a lasting impression on coworkers and customers. She later began a career at Boeing, where she served as a Quality Lead. Her dedication, work ethic, and attention to detail earned her great respect among her coworkers. Outside of work, Laura enjoyed nature and the simple joys of life. She loved wildlife, beach days, horses, and crafting. She was known to work hard and play harder, always finding time to laugh and enjoy life with those she loved most. Above all, Laura deeply loved her children, especially her granddaughter, Payton Anne Mahon, who brought endless joy and light into her life. She loved her children unconditionally and their friends as well, treating them as her own, always known to have an open door policy. She is survived by her loving children: Harold Ashby Mahon, II (Marta Cieslik), Kyle Calvin Mahon (Renee Richard), and KayAnna Ivy Marie Mahon; her grandchildren: Ella Grace Sanders and Payton Anne Mahon; her siblings: Debbie Goines (Doug), Linda Rogers, and N. Bruce Dingler (Jennifer); her stepmother, IvaLee "Ivy" Dingler; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Broach; as well as her parents, H. Bruce Dingler and Nancy Miller. A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 2pm to 4pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 4:00pm in the Chapel. The family will accept flowers but also ask that donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation, www.arborday.org
