Dear James Family,
We wish you our deepest sympathies with the passing of Larry. I was only an acquaintance but my father worked for Larry at James Oldsmobile and always spoke highly of him. Larry treated my father and all of his employees with the respect and dignity characteristic of the leader he was. Larry and his father graciously attended my father's funeral and it meant very much to my family. May he rest in peace.

Bernie and Janet,
So sorry to hear of Larry's death. I remember many good times around Bethel when we were young. His voice was a good one to hear when all of us youngsters would sing, and his personality made him always a joy to be around. All who loved him will miss him. It is good to remember so much. Bob

To the James family,
I was saddened to learn of Larry's death. We were students at Wofford together and sang in the Glee Club. After graduation, I bought several cars from him when I came to Charleston. I know he will be missed by all.
