Larry Donehue VARNVILLE - Mr. Larry Edward Donehue of East Carolina Ave. in Varnville died late Friday evening July 8th, 2011 at the Hampton Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born August 13th, 1948 in Colleton County he was the son of the late Thomas Robert Donehue and Verdia Mae Proveaux Donehue. Mr. Donehue worked in the Shipping Department with Nevamar Corp. formerly International Paper in Hampton retiring after working for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hampton and will be remembered for his love of golf and other sports. He was married to the late Carolyn Elizabeth Hubbard Donehue. Survivors include: one son: Thomas Barry Donehue of PA, three daughters: Vonda Michelle Donehue of Summerville, SC, Tamera D. Thaxton of UT, and Diamond Elizabeth Mae Donehue of Varnville, SC, one brother: Wayne Donehue of Hampton, SC, and two sisters: Deborah Ward of Hampton, SC and Cathy DeLoach of Brunson, SC. There are seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter Heaven Diane Donehue. A memorial service will be held Wednesday July 13th, at 2 P.M. in the Hampton First Baptist Church conducted by the Rev. Jamie Williams and directed by Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home. Friends may call at the residence in Varnville at 298 East Carolina Avenue on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M.
