To my Beloved Husband:
Words cannot express how much I miss you. My heart is broken. We starting dating as juniors in high school, married at 20 years of age, and were married for 40 years. You are my true love and I will love you and miss you till the end of my time. Jason, Sherri and I, with all the pictures and movies, will make sure Jacob knows who his "Pops" was and how much you loved him.

Holly, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I can't imagine what this is like for you after all the years together, so I'll just pray that you find peace.
Even though I hadn't seen him for years, I have so many wonderful memories of growing up with Larry, both as a member of the Clapp family, and in St. Paul. He and Stan were such devils together, that they kept us laughing all the time. and that's what I'll remember most....all the laughter.

Holly, Jason, Sherri, and Jacob, We are so shocked and saddened by the loss of Larry. He was such a great guy and cousin-he never let me forget that I'm 5 months older than him! I have so many wonderful childhood memories with Larry that I hold dear in my heart. May God be with you and guide you in this difficult time. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Larry's
passing. It is especially sad that he
did not have a chance to enjoy his
retirement after so many years of railroad service. I extend heartfelt
condolences to his family.

Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Holly and Jason and his family.
I have warm, fuzzy feelings whenever I think about growing up with Larry. We had such a great childhood together even tho' he (and Stan) teased the heck out of me! Many a times I got hit with a ping-pong ball sailing out of his air rifle! Many a games of ping-pong did I lose to him (I know he and Stan cheated! I couldn't have been that awful playing the game!) He has always been a presence in my life from my youngest memories throughout my teens and even as we have grown older. We shared our love of warm weather and dreams of retiring somewhere where we didn't see snow again. Larry I will miss you but have good memories that will keep you alive in my heart.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Larry's family during this most difficult time.
Love to all,
Diane and Morris

To Holly and family,
How sorry we are that you have lost a wonderful husband and father. When my brothers and I were young we lived down the road from Larry and his family. We often went there for fun such as playing ping-pong. Of course the boys sometimes got into trouble, but no one minded. We have great memories of those visits. We trust that the Lord will be very close to you now and hoping it comforts you to know that your loved one is safe in His arms. Love, Gary and Bonnie Clapp Spurgeon

Holly - Words cannot begin to express how I feel right now. Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and Jaon and his family.
You said you wouldn't mind if someone wanted to say a few words about Larry at his memorial service. Since I can't be there, I just want to share a couple of memories I have of him. -- like how for about the 1st 8 years of his life (umtil Rick Clapp came along) he was the only boy cousin of the Clapps with about 12 or so girl cousins. If it hadn't been for Stan and Sammy Holland living so close by and hanging out with him, who knows what kind of traumatic childhood he would have had with all us girls :>). We had a lot of fun. Larry gave me my first time shooting a gun - his BB gun at Grandma and Grandad Clapp's house. He also let me try driving his go-cart down the hill beside Doc's house - I only scrapped my knees a little trying to stop it (I was never coordinated) and Larry was very patient with trying to teach me to drive it. His great smile and that mischevious dimple popping out will always be the best memory.
HUGS to all! Love, Paula Buchanan

To Holly and family,
We were so very fortunate to live next door to Larry and Holly at Marina Bay. Larry made us feel welcome and was one of the most generous and helpful neighbors anyone could ask for. We enjoyed the cookouts on "Crab Island" and the evenings chatting over a glass of wine, there are so many great memories! He was always willing to help in any way possible. Larry will be greatly missed and we are very saddened by his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Robin, Ed and Tori Batt

I have many happy memories of childhood times spent with Larry. Moat memorable are the times spent walking in the woods and fishing in the creeks on "Doc" Smith's farm. Nothing can take away those memories. Rolla and I will keep you in our prayers. We will ask God to watch over you and guide you in the weeks and months ahead as you make life changing decisions. God bless. Rolla and Sandi Hendrickson, Lake Park, GA

Dear Holly, Jason and family,
We are so shocked and saddened by the news of Larry's illness and passing. We became acquainted at Conrail, in Labor Relations, and it was always rewarding and fun to work with "the Clappster." He was so knowledgeable about all things railroad and mentored me with the "non-op" crafts. My husband Steve, also an "ex-Con", enjoyed being teased by Larry about their Indiana/Kentucky roots and soybean farming. They also enjoyed many nights of card playing, pizza and laughs during the Friedman poker games.
Larry was truly a great guy! Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad and difficult time. Blessings, Lynette and Steve Ross
