To The Family,
May the Peace of the Lord, which surpasses all understanding, remain with you at this time. I have fond memories of Larry taking his shoes off at Jimmy Fokes's Homegoing Celebration. He seemed to have been preparing himself for this time, the day that he himself would answer the call, to be with the Lord. Larry may have been shortest of statute in the class of 1969, but he reached enormous heights in his short lifetime. Larry will be sadly missed.

To Liz,
I was truly sorry to learn of the demise of your dear husband and my friend, Larry. It was indeed a shock to me. Larry was a strong person both in character and in the Lord. He had intellect, style, class, heart, and faith. I offer my condolences to you and your family.
As a co-graduate of Charles A. Brown High, I know that your spirit is strong. As a friend of the family, I know that you will survive. As a child of God, I know that you will get though this because you will be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. You will put on the whole armor of God.
I am praying for your strength in the Lord. You can do all things through Christ who gives you the strength!

Dear Liz,
This is Rosalyn Wright Floyd, your classmate. My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time. I lost my husband last year and I can understand a little of what you must be going through.
Both Clinton and Larry were special to our family and, during their high school years, considered our home as their own. My mother thought the world of both of them, and was so glad to see Larry on his most recent trip to Charleston. Larry was a beautiful person and will be missed.
Liz, you will get through this. Put your hand in God's hand and take one day at a time. You have your faith to sustain you and your loving family to comfort you. Know that God and Larry will watch over you and love you through eternity.

Minnie, Liz, and Family Members,
When told of Larry's death, I went back in my memory to the joy and happiness that I saw among Larry, his classmates, and his peers at School and in the neighborhood. My most recent encounter with him in October will always be treasured. I realize now that his words of endearment were his farewell to me
Minnie, Please know that I sit with you in that seat of sorrow. For not only was Larry a student, he was also a son.
God bless each of you and may you find that peace in your family circle that strengthens and comforts you.

My heart is broken after hearing about the death of my classmate and old neighbor Larry( C.A.Brown-"69")I didn't see Larry often but when I did he always had something nice and funny to say to me. To Liz and the children, his mother, Mrs. Mammie Brown and other family members know that God loves you and he is still on the thrown. Know God hears every prayer and he speaks to us daily. Larry was loved! and he will be missed. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers! Larry I"ll see you in the rapture. Good-Bye!
