Laraine Beiter Obituary

L araine E. Beiter, wife of Jack Beiter and daughter of the late Ernest and Della (Cardoni) Household, died suddenly at her home in Radnor, Pa., on Friday, June 16, 2006.
She was born in Plains on January 29, 1931, and earned a degree in business at Wilkes-Barre Business College. Laraine functioned as an assistant to the Luzerne County Treasurer until she married Jack Beiter and became the mother of their three sons, John F. II and twins, Jeffrey and Justin.
Laraine was always with a smile on her face with only pleasant thoughts and statements about others. She saw only the good in everyone. She will be sorely missed by her sister, Dolores Kaye, and her family; the Beiter grandchildren, Katie, Haley, Kyle, and Carly; as well as her sons, Jeffrey, Justin and her daughter-in-law, Sheryl. Nothing can replace the love husband Jack of 49 ½ years had for her.
Friends may offer their condolences from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at Saint Katharine’s Catholic Church, corner of Aberdeen and Lancaster Avenues, Wayne, Pa., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. to be said in her honor.
Interment will be private for family only. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her honor to Multiple Sclerosis Society, Philadelphia Chapter, One Reed Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147.
Local arrangements are by the Corcoran Funeral Home, 20 South Main Street, Plains, PA 18705.

Jack, Justin, Jeff and Sheryl, you know that we loved Larraine. She was a dear, sweet woman; we will remember her wonderful way with people and her love of life -- and how she loved ALL of our children. She may be gone from this earth but we will remember her forever. The Spellanes will keep all of you in their prayers through this extremely difficult time. I am so sorry that we did not learn of her death until the 27th. We are here if you need us.

Dear Jack and Family,

Words alone are inadequate at such a time of tragic loss. May the Lord's presence be felt in your lives to support you through this very difficult time. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Laraine was not only a relative but a dear friend. She always had a beautiful smile and a kind word, and she was always interested in what you had to say. We will miss her greatly because she is loved by so many. Bucky and I will particularly miss her at the Penn State games, one of her long-time passions.
