Lambuth Belvin "Mike" Corbett Mt. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM with the service immediately following at 12:00 PM Internment will be at Carolina Memorial Park. Mike was born on April 6, 1936, in Cassatt, SC, to Lambuth B. Corbett and Gertrude Gamble Corbett. As a child, he lived in Charleston, attending Simmons School. The family moved to North Charleston where Mike graduated from North Charleston High School in 1954. After high school, he was employed at the Charleston Naval Shipyard Finance Office as a payroll clerk, where he was recognized several times for outstanding performance. He also served in the Army National Guard as a medic. In the early 1960's, Mike decided to pursue his love of cars and enter the automobile business. He owned Palmetto Motors on Rivers Avenue first, and through the next forty plus years worked for several dealerships in town as well as owning his own businesses. His last venture was C & C Auto Sales in Summerville. Mike loved his family and though he was an only child, he was blessed with a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins who saw each other often. He had an extensive social network and will be remembered as a loyal, caring friend always willing to help someone in need. He loved to laugh, appreciated a good joke and especially enjoyed time with friends and family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports, especially the Clemson Tigers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty McLaine Corbett. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Wolcott (James) of Mount Pleasant and Darlene Corbett Herndon of Walterboro; two granddaughters, Amber Herndon and Ashley Herndon of Walterboro; and two great-granddaughters, Ava and Addisyn. The family is grateful to the staff of Lutheran Hospice and the great caregivers and staff at Mount Pleasant Gardens. We are so very thankful for your care and concern of our sweet Daddy. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Darlene and Linda you all have my sympathy. It´s been over 34 years, since I have seen or spoken to you all. I was the little girl that use to live next door to your grandmother and help her Ms. Louise. And your mom Mrs. Betty was a nice person too.
