Kristin Jones Obituary

Kristin Marie Theisen Jones WALTERBORO - Kristin Marie Theisen Jones died Sunday morning, May 9, 2010, from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was 29. Kristen was born September 8, 1980, in Southfield, Michigan. For 29 years she was the daughter of Karen Sue Theisen Avant and Mark Sochocki, as well as the stepdaughter of Franklin Matthew Avant. She was the oldest of four children, and she dearly loved her siblings Jamie Leigh, Eric Matthew, and Michael Brandon. Her formative years were spent in Hilton Head Island and Bluffton, SC and continued with her attendance at Walterboro High School. Kristin married Derrick Jeffery Jones, and they had one son, Andrew Jeffrey Jones. Several years later, she gave birth to Davon Jermaine, Javon Ladaren Theisen, and Jaden Malachi Hudson. Kristin held several jobs throughout her life, most notably as a waitress at Fat Jacks Restaurant in Walterboro. She also worked at Cracker Barrel for many years. Her smile and caring personality at work made her well know throughout the community. The tattoos on her wrists, "Trust" and "Faith", as well as her mottos "Living Life" and "Everything happens for a reason", signified Kristin's perspective on life. In the midst of her trials, she demonstrated her strengths with determination, through being her own person, and remaining strong-willed. She had a sense of humor that never ended, and was always light at heart. Loved ones will always remember how she would laugh after seeing the look on her their face when she was able to pull a prank on them, make fun of someone, or tell a joke. She loved her children more than anyone else on Earth. Her oldest was Andrew (12 years old), then the twins Davon and Javon, (3 years old) and the youngest Jaden (22 months old). Kristin loved her children so much she worked harder than most to provide and care for them. Her children were her treasures. The home she built was filled with love, joy, and toys. Kristin expressed the same kind of love that her family showed her, the kind of love that has compassion for others, and the kind of love that is willing to go above and beyond. Her easy-going nature and fun-loving disposition made her a joy to be around. When asked what their lasting impression of Kristin was, her sister Jamie responded with memories of "the pranks she played", her brother, Eric, remembered her "pointing of the finger when she laughed at the expense of another" and Michael will always remember "her laugh". Kristin leaves behind to mourn, her parents, Matt and Karen Avant, and her children, Andrew, Davon, Javon, and Jayden. In addition, she has left behind her siblings Jamie, Eric, and Michael. May she eternally rest in peace. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in the Chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.parkerrhodenfuneralhome.com. Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, 117 Paul Street Walterboro, is in charge of arrangements. Visit our guestbook at www.postandcourier.com/deaths
