Klaus Petzold Obituary

Klaus Everhardt Petzold "Dink" N. CHARLESTON - Klaus "Dink" Petzold of North Charleston, husband of Odessa Petzold, died Sunday, February 14, 2010 in a local hospital. Born November 22, 1930 in Augusta, Georgia Mr. Petzold was the son of Max L. Petzold and Margaret Bauerfiend Petzold. He was a Tube Operator at MUSC and was a member of Door Way Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Odessa Cassidy Petzold; a step-daughter: Brenda Lee Hinsley of Simpsonville, SC; brother: Max L. Petzold, Jr. and his wife, Jo, of Gainesville, Florida; nephew: Mark A. Petzold and his wife Ashley and their daughter Grace, all of Charlotte, NC: granddaughter: Michelle Bridges and her husband Kevin of Simpsonville, SC and 3 great-grandchildren The graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 2:00 PM in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, North Charleston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Charleston, SC 29406. Sorry to hear about Mr.Petzold.My Mom is in the nursing home with Mrs.Petzold they share the same room.I had the pleasure of meeting him such a great man.Please know our prayers are with you all.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his loved ones. He was a nice man and dedicated husband. I am honored to have assisted in caring for his wife and will continue to do so with the best of my abilities. I will miss seeing Mr. Petzold and getting his phone calls to check on Mrs. Petzold. May God watch over and be with you all.
