I had the pleasure of knowing Kitty in the 1980's and 90's. As fellow elders we co-chaired the Christian Education Committee at Covenant Presby. in Staunton, but I truly got to know Kitty's wonderful character when she joined me on a three week Study Abroad trip to Wales. This Mary Baldwin College trip consisted of about 14 young women, another faculty member ....and Kitty. She was a trooper, and she met every challenge we encountered (including learning the Welsh language for one week at Nant Gwrtheryn) with great humor and an engaging, exemplary openness to life-long learning. My wife, Linda, joins me in sending our sympathies and love --as we all honor Kitty for a life-well-lived. Roderic Owen (MBC professor/Covenant Presby Elder)
