Kimberly Quattlebaum Obituary

Kimberly King Quattlebaum Charleston - Kimberly "Kim" Quattlebaum, wife of Alexander McQueen Quattlebaum, III, of Charleston, was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She passed away on January 24, 2022. Kim was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 2, 1964. Bright, vivacious, and creative, Kim's varied careers included owning and operating her own pickle company in Pennsylvania, traveling the world as a makeup artist for Laura Mercier and even dancing in music videos in the 1980s. Her effortless glamour, generous spirit, and amazing skills in the kitchen made her the ultimate hostess. Kim truly never met a stranger, and while she possessed the unique ability of making each individual with whom she interacted feel like the most special person in the world, her favorite job was being a mother. Kim is survived by her husband of 19 years, Alex; two children, Alexander McQueen Quattlebaum IV (Mac) and John Henry Burroughs Quattlebaum (John Henry); her mother, Betty King of Mount Pleasant, SC, father and step-mother, Robert and Jeanne Stinziano, sister, Olivia Stinziano, brother, Sam Stinziano, of San Antonio, TX, and many in-laws, cousins, nephew and niece, aunts and uncles, as well as countless friends. In honor of Kim's dedication to service and giving back to the community, the family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warriors. A memorial service is planned for the spring. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Visit our guestbook at legacy.com/obituaries/charleston

I met Kim when we were both working for Laura Mercier. We became close friends on her many trips to Texas. She would call me up and say " I will be staying with you when I come to town. I had no choice but would soon find myself looking so forward to her visits.
Kim made everything so much fun. She was the best host, had great taste and was an amazing cook. I loved Kim Stinziano Quattlebaum.
Kimmie made everything an adventure! I have never laughed so much.
Kim was a wonderful Wife Mother and loved her boys and Alex so much.
Kim was my dear friend and losing her was and is devastating. She was beautiful inside and out. I can´t say enough about the incredible person she was. She is greatly missed.
My deepest condolences to her family.

Hello, My name is Parris Pleger, I'm 58 years old and I met Kim back in grade school At Garfield Elem. in the 4th grade. She was a pistol back then, Our PE teacher was Mrs Yoast, Her husband was Coach Yoast in Remember The Titans, Anyway, Kim even in the 4th grade was so athletic . I tried every year to beat her in the 600 yard dash lol, I came close once.. Softball, She was the pitcher . All around Tom boy back then. After grade school , I did not see Kim again for many years. I saw her at the Fort Belvoir Officers Club and let me tell ya, That Tomboy grey into a Gorgeous Swan. We caught up and it was like no time passed at all. I just heard the horrible news of her passing from a 40th School reunion last weekend and was truly saddened by the news. From someone that knew Kim for the first part of her life in 4th, 5th & 6 grade and again later in life I can tell you from my heart, This World just got a bit smaller without her in it. My deepest condolences to her wonderful family, knowing Kim, I can only imagine the sorrow felt by her children on the very mantle of motherhood, Just remember, She will always be in your hearts. Gods Speed to you all.

Kim was beautiful in body and spirit.
She always made us feel welcome and made the best tomato pie I´ve ever tasted! My heart goes out to all her family and friends.

Kim was my first friend in Charleston back in 2015 - such a life force, so vivacious, funny, open and welcoming. We met through a mutual friend up north. When my husband and I moved to town, she drove up to our hotel in her golf cart with 2 Bloody Marys and the party was on! She will always have a very special place in my heart.
