I had great times and have pleasant memories of Kim from the late 70's in Norman, OK. He was a huge OU football fan also.

I never met Dr.May but I will never forget hearing him do Jimmy Hendrix at the bluesfests organized by Andrew Weiner. Jimmy himself couldn't have done "Hey Joe" better! And I always went away shaking my head knowing he was a statistician! I wish I could have heard him play more often.

He was an extraordinary guitarist. He had studied classical guitar at N Texas State. After that were the Xebec years, and after that played out, he went back to school and got his doctorate. It's unusual for anyone two have two exceptional gifts. He was a dear friend, deep and witty.

I knew Kim as guitarist for Xebec back in the late '70s. He was truly talented, and a good guy to know. I am lucky to have known him. He will live on in my memory.
