TSgt Kevin D. McCormick Summerville - TSgt Kevin D. McCormick, 43, of Summerville, SC, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at his residence. Kevin was born September 13, 1978, in Warren, OH, the son of Edward Samuel McCormick and Carol Lyn Rider McCormick. He honorably served and retired in May of 2019 as a United States Air Force Firefighter after 20 years of service. He was awarded many medals including Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Achievement Medal. Kevin leaves behind his wife, Melinda "Mindy" McCormick of Summerville, SC; son, Colin McCormick; and daughter, Brianna McCormick both of Summerville, SC; father, Edward McCormick of Niles, OH; mother and step-father, Carol Hill and Arno Hill of Lordstown, OH; sisters, Katie Ness (Brent) of Milwaukee, WI, and Kerry McCormick (Carrie) of Hilliard, OH; grandparents, Barbara McCormick of Newnan, GA, and Emlyn "Lyn" Money Rider of Warren, OH; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Joyce Perkins; his granddog, Beckham; three nephews; four nieces; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandfathers, Eddie S. McCormick and Howard "Pete" Rider, Jr. Memorial Services will be Saturday afternoon, November 20, 2021, at 1 o'clock in Parks Funeral Home Chapel.
