Got the pleasure to meet Ford last year while he was buying a boat. A great kid, good southern manners, and a passion for the outdoors. My prayers are with the family, the outdoors family, and the Clemson family.

Dean, Charla and family,

You are each in my thoughts and prayers. Ford was, clearly, a special young man - full of love, life, family and friends. I feel as though I know him after reading about his love for the Lowcountry, the outdoors, etc. Heaven has welcomed home a bright light and special son.

May your strong faith and wonderful memories sustain you now and in the days ahead. You have many friends who care and are lifting you in prayer. Please know that.

Though I do not know your family, I wanted you to know that I am praying for you all today. My son, Matt Crisp, is a rising Junior at Clemson. Ford was his friend and a fellow student in the AgMech program. They had many classes together and had planned to again have classes together this coming semester. He has shared memories of Ford with me, and he is so sad at the loss of his friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Ford will be missed. God bless you all.

We were so saddened to hear the news of your son's death. We don't know you, but we have good friends in our neighborhood who go to your church. Any time we hear of a tragedy like this, our hearts just break. It always begs the question, "Why?" And, for that we have no answer.
