My memories go back to those 5:15 AM encounters on Pitt St. with the fellas as they walked and I exercised the dogs. They were always upbeat and told me they had seen a shooting star. Ken, Whit, and others--what a brotherhood. I treasured their friendship. Kay, may your memories sustain and uplift you.

Ken was my Dad's 1961 classmate who I had the honor and privilege of knowing as a fellow alumni and friend who helped me out during my Citadel years (86) and beyond. Kay and Ken are two of the nicest people you'll ever meet and I really enjoyed spending time with them over these many years. Ken's kindness while he I was on this earth will not be forgotten.

So sorry to hear the passing of a long time classmate from The Citadel and good friend. Always appreciated that Ken and Kay opened their home to my son when he entered The Citadel as a lowly freshman. We had some great times together and will never forget him.

My sympathy to Kay and Toni on Ken's passing. Ken and I served together for several years on the Board of the Charleston Speech and Hearing Center. Ken was always dedicated and loyal and supportive. Ken actually grew up in my neighborhood in Newberry. Toni and I were good neighbors and friends during our high school days. I have good memories of a good man. Rest in peace, Ken.
