I was saddened to learn, belatedly of Ken's passing. We worked together on several projects as did members of my firm, for over 25 years beginning in the late 1970s through approximately 2008. Although I had not communicated with Ken for some years, my memories of his good nature, wit, resourcefulness and intelligence are still clear. During a series of projects in the north Houston area in the 1980s, Ken, John Krog and I would often finish a long day with a meal at Pappas seafood restaurant near the airport. We loved the food and always had excellent camaraderie and lively conversation. This experience was repeated on other projects including in New Braunsfeld and Fort Stockton, Texas. I was proud to call Ken a friend and I will miss him. Martin W. Dies, Orange and Austin, Texas.

I was saddened to hear of Ken's death. He and I worked together closely for many years in connection with construction litigation. He was my architectural consultant, but more importantly my friend. It was a privilege to know him, such a distinguished yet kind and humble gentleman. I will always treasure the memory of our work sessions together at his office on John's Island, usually followed by lunch at Rosebank Farms Cafe, which Ken knew as "Julie's", on Bohicket Creek. He loved God, his family, his friends and his community, and, when he could manage the time, his boats. Godspeed Ken. To the family, I offer my prayers and sincere condolences.
