Kenneth Jarrell Obituary

JARRELL, Kenneth ESTILL - Mr. Kenneth Burnell Jarrell, 80, of 812 Burnell Road near Estill, died Wednesday night at his residence after an extended illness. Mr. Jerrell was born in Hampton County on January 31, 1925; a son of the late James and Winnie Mason Ginn Jarrell. He had retired from Westinghouse Corp. in Hampton in the Maintenance Department, and was a member of the Nixville Baptist Church. He was married to the lat Ola Mae Bowers Jarrell. Surviving are daughters, Sandra A. Jarrell and Gail J. Rivers both of Nixville and Nancy J. Wilson and husband Roger of Fripp Island; one sister, Roberta Bowers of Brunson; grandchildren, Tony E. Jarrell, Teresa J. Stanley, Janet J. DeLoach, Ken Rivers, Lisa Long, Darlene Bowers, Bryon Rivers, Jonathan Wilson, Trevor Wilson, Megan Wilson, and Rhonda Wilson. There are 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. There are special friends, Louise McAlhaney, Doug Trauschke, and Earl Wooten. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday in the Nixville Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Paul Creason, Rev. Michael Frederickson, and Rev. Jimmy Roetta with burial in the Nixville Baptist Church Cemetery directed by PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME in Hampton. Friends may call at the chapel in Hampton from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday until 3 p.m. when the casket will be placed in church prior to services. The family suggests that those who wish may send memorials to the Palmetto Health Hospice, P.O.
