Kellie Evans Obituary

Remembering the life of my precious friend Kellie today. Students are supposed to learn from their teachers but Kellie taught me more in our one year together than I ever taught her, that much I know! Kellie will always have a special place in my heart as do you and Richard. I will always remember my time with her at our singles group at Northwoods. She was a very special and loving your lady. Know that you are my prayers during this time of adjustment for you both.

Pops and Mrs. Karen, I lift you both and your families up in the days to come. When all the planning for Kellie's beautiful day is over and life continues on. I pray God continues to wrap His loving arms around you all and that we as sisters and brothers in Christ will remember that, God has all the glory and Kellie has a new body and is singing and dancing...The days will be hard, and the nights long, but i pray the Lord gives each of you His rest, peaceful sleep and a bright new day, in the eyes of Kellie's life she led! Many she touched, many will always be touched. Thank you both for such a great graduation/Wedding/Home Coming tonight! God knew you both were the best parents for kellie! I have so many fond memories of Kellie. Too many to try to list them here. I guess what I would like for you to know is that she always...ALWAYS!...made me smile. I would guess that she is making our Saviour smile now as well. She has a special place in my heart, and I will never forget her. You both are in our prayers during this difficult time.

We have good memories of Kellie, one in particular of when she rehearsed with the choir. She was one who was determined and a fighter in spite of her physical challenges. The support and love that was shown to her was great. Now she is being loved by our Lord and Savior in Heaven. We pray that God is a Comforter to you in this time of need.

We are praying for the family. Kellie was an inspiration and a fighter. She touched our lives too. Karen and Richard, your efforts were never in vain. Your love for her was evident. You were the right people for the right need. Patty and I are encouraged that Kellie is free and walking with Jesus. We are here for you.

I was so saddened when I heard the news about Kellie. But in that same moment, happy that she is with the Lord, happy and whole. Kellie was always an inspiration to me. Despite it all, she was happy and positive and full of life. My years at Northwood were certainly enriched because of her.

Karen, Richard, Mark, Barbara & the boys, You all provided so much love, compassion, and joy to Kellie (almost as much as she provided to all of you). We are so sorry that she's gone, but I know that she is no longer bound by the ties of earthly struggles, but is now free and walking the streets of heaven with her Grandma by her side.

Kellie was one of the nicest people I've ever known. She always had a kind word to say and helped people feel welcomed. All throughout high school I could always count on Kellie to give the best hugs!! She was the sweetest girl! I am so glad that I had the opportunity to go through high school with you Kellie!! You have been an inspiration to so many and I know that you will continue to be. I can only imagine what you are doing right now in the presence of Jesus!! I am sure that you are dancing and of course smiling like you always did!!! You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers! I have been sitting here telling my husband different stories about you in high school and how no matter what you were going through you were always happy!!! I will remember that forever!

I was so very fortunate to be Kellie's biology teacher at Northwood. She was pure joy and I am quite certain that she taught me far more than I could have ever taught her. She was kind and thoughtful, a friend to all, and she was a serious student...but she was also, delightfully, a teenager. She giggled at jokes and she complained about homework (though I never recall her missing a single assignment). I always wondered what became of my little buddy. She was an amazingly beautiful person and I am so grateful to have known her. You will all by in my prayers during this difficult time.
