Keith Burns Obituary

BURNS, Keith ST. GEORGE, SC - Keith R. Burns, 32 of Mulberry Road, St. George died Saturday August 20, 2005 in Trident Medical Center from injuries sustained in an auto accident which occurred near St. George on Highway 178 early Saturday morning. Keith was born May 23, 1973 in Portsmith, VA a son of Malcolm Kent Burns and the late Elizabeth (Sissy) Steen Burns. Keith was a 1991 graduate of St. George High School and an Honor graduate of S.C. Criminal Justice Academy. He was employed by Holcim Cement Company of Holly Hill as a technician and a reserved deputy sheriff for Dorchester County Sheriff Department. He attended the Church of Christ. Surviving his wife Patti Howell Burns, and a daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Burns both of Summerville, his father, Malcolm Kent Burns of Eutawville, his two brothers, Malcolm Kent (Sandy) Burns, II, and Curtis Anthony Burns, and his sister, Paula (Randy) Varn, all of St. George. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday August 23, 2005 in the Memorial Baptist Church with Chaplin Shelby Weeks and Pastor Dan Griffin officiating. Burial with Dorchester County Sheriff Honor Guard will be in St. George Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Teddy Jackson, Chip Marchant, Heath Westbury, Sanford Boyd, Cedrick Washington, and Jeff (Smitty) Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Local Law Enforcement Officers. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home, 607 North Parler Avenue, St. George, SC. Memorials may be made to the Sarah Burns Education Fund, 201 Curico Lane, Summerville, SC 29483.
