Katie Wagers Obituary

Phil and Lauren,
All I can say is that my thoughts and prayers are with you always and if either of you ever need anything please let me know. Katie was by far the closest thing I ever had to a sister and I could not have asked for a better friend! I love you both just like family and we will all get through this with time! Katie is not only in a better place but she is truly happy im sure of it!! Stay strong!!!

Dear Phil and Lauren, I do not have adequate words to express the sorrow in my heart for the loss of your dear Katie. What words can be expressed to a family that has experienced such profound losses. I know we are not to question, but sometimes it is very difficult not to. I will always remember your wonderful family and the loving care all of you provided to Kathy. I can still see Katie standing at the top of the stairs while talking to Kathy and myself as she was doing "things" in her room. She delayed completing college so she could be home with you and to take care of her mother. She was so fun and full of life. I pray that you find peace and comfort in knowing that she is with Kathy and her brother, and is being cradled in Jesus loving arms.

Lauren - I’m saddened by this news and I’m sending warm and loving energy to you and your family. As Helen Keller said, “What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us."

I have known Katie for several years through Taylor. She was always someone who was so strong and so much fun to be around. She was witty and smart and kind and beautiful. She is on my mind all the time as are both of you. I have you both in my thoughts and prayers and wish that there were words to express what a unique person Katie was. She will truly be missed. You always knew when Katie was in the room! I hope you can find strength and solace in an unimaginably painful time.

Dear Phil and Lauren, How many more times is God going to test you? Scripture says that He will never over burden us, but where is the limit? We don't know.

Laurel and I are so saddened for your loss of Katie. I just don't know nor understand. I will miss Katie's smiling face and her warm conservative opinions about "stuff."

May God wrap His arms around you and comfort you. Phil and Lauren, you know how to get a hold of me. Call me a week from now, a month from now, or any time from now if you need a shoulder to cry on or a caring friend to chat with.

Our memories of Katie are so very fresh in our minds and in our hearts. My favorite one is of when Katie was just four, at the St. Johns Inn at Myrtle Beach . Katie the cutest little thing was so full of her self, She wante me to be her best friend for the weekend. She became my little tail I hugged her and braided her hair and just loved on her. I will never forget her smell and her smile is etched in my heart forever. Please know that our hearts are broken and that we will pray for all of you and keep you all close to our hearts.
