Dear Chip, Ryan, Cashion and family….
It is incomprehensible that Kathy has been taken to Heaven while still so young…our hearts are just broken for you all…it's been a long time since we've seen you but you are so much in our hearts and prayers right now…may you eventually find peace in knowing so many people loved Kathy, and that we all will be thinking of you and praying for you in your grief for a long time. I know you will take care of each other. Again, so terribly sorry and sad.

I was so saddened by the news of Kathy's passing. I adored her. She always referred to herself as "My other mother." And she truly was. Every time she and my mother were together, there was a trail of laughter. She had the biggest and kindest heart. My mother Diane, has often referred to her the sister she never had. Her passing has left a giant hole in the lives of all her knew her. My thoughts go out to Chip, Rion, Cashion, and their families.

Nancy and I were desperately sad about Kathy's death. Jansen called me over the weekend. Kathy was so bright and cheery, she could light up a whole house, or beach. I was so saddened to know that Kathy had passed.
She will be remembered for her vivaciousness. She was a bright light to all who knew her. She will be missed but never forgotten.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of the death of dear Kathy. She will be sorely missed by her family. How she loved them all, especially those darling granddaughters. One thing for sure - she will light up heaven; I trust God is ready.

Dear Chip & Family,

You are in my prayers as you absorb Kathy's departure to heaven. Kathy was a spark of sunshine EVERY TIME I saw her at Church of Our Saviour. I LOVED hanging out with her because the Holy Spirit was always mightily present in all she said and did. I will cherish many memories of times I spent with her but a few stand out that I will mention. I will always be able to picture her in the back of Sanders Clyde Elementary Auditorium in July 2012 dancing, singing and crying to the praise music provided by Moore Arts Movement. I will also picture her sitting in a rocking chair in the back of Church of Our Saviour enjoying the praise music and waving her hands. She worshipped her Lord and Savior freely and beautifully, which taught me so much. She taught me something else too - to fall in love with Fit Flops. We always compared the latest color we had found on sale at Coastal Footwear (her colors were always way more vibrant and fun!). I can see her now in heaven - running around with bright purple Fit Flops on and telling everyone how comfortable they are! I love her so much! Praying for you, Nena Jackson

I had the pleasure of spending an wonderful hour talking with Kathy just a week or so ago while she had brunch after Church. Her sense of humor brightened my entire day. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Chip.

Dear Chip and family's I am sorry to hear the lose of Cathy. She was a wonderful person and care for others. I will miss her a lot more now since I know she not with us anymore. I will miss her calling to try to get an appointment for her nails.

I am so very saddened to learn of your loss . Kathy was a beautiful, vibrant person. We had many walks with our dogs...Tia and my dog, Skippy.She was always smiling,and happy and we would chat the whole walk and continue for a time afterward!!!.She loved her family and was so very proud of everyone. I was so sorry to hear about Kathy yesterday at MPUMC. We were friends at church years ago when the boys were little and at Thru the Week School. She was always such a loving friend and mother. I will always remember her beautiful engaging smile that would light up any room she entered. You all will be in our prayers in this loss.

Chip, we were so sorry to learn of Kathy's death. She was mentioned in the prayer at church this morning. She was such a faithful member of Myers Park United Methodist Church while living in Charlotte, and meant so much to all who knew her, and especially to those of us who had the privilege of working with her in the church. We appreciate her very much, as we also appreciate your help in getting our daughter's phone connected in Salisbury so many years ago. We also appreciated Jami keeping us up to date with you two when she was working at Myers Park Church. Please know that all of you are in our prayers.

I remember Kathy coming to my house...Barry Brooks...and staying to get ready for big parties at the Citadel...she was so pretty and I wanted to be just like her. My grandmother was a Cashion and I named my daughter that. There is a bright star shining in heaven for Kathy.
