Not sure what to say?

September 4, 2007

Dear Julie,
Wilton called today with the sad news of your mother's death. I immediately had such fond memories of your parents and remember how they always made me feel so welcome in your home. They would be so upset when I'd get homesick and want to go home.

Your mother was such a special, attractive and gracious lady. Our deepest sympathy goes to you, Roddy and family.

Love, Susie (Sue Ellen Poulnot) and Ronnie Ratcliffe

Julia, I was so glad I spoke with you today. Kathleen and Pat were both such special people and it is comforting to know they are back together. We started in kindergarten and and still friends, so that has been a that long time for me to know and love Kathleen. I know you are at peace now that her struggle with the last few years are over. Dear Julia,
Another link of our lives together has left us. I am sorry that you have lost your mother. You were so fortunate to have her for so many, many years. She was important in my life from the time we were in Brownies together at age 7. How the years have flown!
She always had such a gentle way of reprimanding us when we got caught in some mischief. I can hear her soft voice in my head. "Now, Julia... what were you and Dennie thinking?" She was a lovely, wonderful lady who will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Love,
Dennie

Dear Julia,
Kathleen was one of the most wonderful people I've ever known--funny, thoughtful, generous, other-centered, and truly, truly wise. She was like a second mother to me when we were teenagers. I loved her, and I'm so sad she's gone, but I'm happy that she's free at last. My heart is with you, my dearest friend. Love, Lowry
