Kathleen Lesueur Obituary

Kathleen Mary Lesueur MT. PLEASANT - Kathleen "Kay" Mary Lesueur, 75, wife of the late Henri Eduard Lesueur of Mt. Pleasant, SC, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. The relatives and friends of Kay Lesueur are invited to attend her funeral services on Friday, March 4, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., in the historic church of St. Andrews Church-Mt. Pleasant, SC, 440 Whilden Street in the Old Village. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Kay Lesueur was born August 22, 1935, in Toronto, Canada, daughter of the late William Bruce Honeywell and Kathleen Mary Ross Honeywell. She was an active and devoted member of St. Andrews Church-Mt. Pleasant, SC. A remarkable woman, who remained independent; Kay fought a good and valiant fight against ovarian cancer. The cancer may have claimed her body, but it could not touch her spirit. She was well-loved in many Bible studies. Her life was a living example of her strong belief and faith in Jesus Christ. Kay had a humble and teachable spirit. For many of those most in need, she became the hands and feet of Jesus Christ, reaching out to help. Through her life and faith example, Kay became a mentor to others, emphasizing the need to not only speak words of faith, but to come alongside those who needed help most. She was, without a doubt, a woman filled with grace and mercy. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Grace Liddell of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her son, Richard Henri Lesueur of Powell, OH; and her brother, Rice Honeywell of White Rock, B.C. Canada. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren: Phillip, Sara, Eric, Chris, Annie, Laura, Nicholas and Benjamin. Kay was preceded in death by her son, William "Billy" Robert Lesueur. Kay also sponsored two children through World Vision, Arti Prakash of South Delhi, India and Kamuzhyu Miti of Zambia, Africa. Kay's life was a living ministry which touched so many lives and the good which she performed will live on. Her spirit was never beaten. No flowers. Memorials may be made to Churches Without Walls, c/o St. Andrews Church - Mt. Pleasant, 440 Whilden Street, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
