Kathy was a true blessing everytime I saw her.....she encouraged me more than I could ever encourage her. She was strong in her faith and in her fight against cancer. We could go months without seeing each other and then catch right back up without missing a beat. Like the time we happened to have PET scans at the same time...we rocked that technicians world while we were making the most of our situation. She obviously loved her family....her positive attitude and wit was contageous. I thank God for a friend like Kathy Joyner!!

Dear Al, Chris, Kerrie & Sean,
I remember meeting Kathy for the 1st time about 10 years ago when Molly & Kerrie were on the same softball team. I was immediately drawn to Kathy's sweet smile and friendly personality. Since then I have admired her strength and courage as she has valiantly battled with her disease. I am thankful that she is finally at peace, whole again and free from pain. I am only sorry for your loss and sorrow at this time. The good news as fellow believers in Christ is that we will see her again, smiling and sweet as ever! Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

December 2, 2010

AL we are lifting you and your children up to our Heavenly Father during the coming days. Kathy's character sounds so much like the Proverbs 31 woman. Proverbs 31:10 "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies?" Not only were you blessed with a virtuous woman, you were also blessed with one of His chosen, "Jewels." WOW! What an honor.
.....When the storms of life over whelm you and you feel like you just can't go on...grab hold of His hand.... He will teach you how to walk on water!

He is able....

May God comfort each of you and give you that peace that you need to get you through this difficult time and the times to come.

WHEN I MUST LEAVE YOU

WHEN I MUST LEAVE YOU
FOR A LITTLE WHILE,
PLEASE DO NOT GRIEVE
AND SHED WILD TEARS
AND HUG YOUR SORROW
TO YOU THROUGH THE
YEARS,BUT START OUT
BRAVELY WITH A GALLIANT
SMILE,AND FOR MY SAKE
AND IN MY NAME LIVE
ON AND DO ALL THINGS
THE SAME,FEED NOT ON
YOUR LONELINESS ON
EMPTY DAYS,BUT FILL
EACH WAKING HOUR IN
USEFUL WAYS,REACH OUT
YOUR HAND IN COMFORT
AND IN CHEER AND I IN TURN
WILL COMFORT YOU AND
HOLD YOU NEAR,AND NEVER,
NEVER BE AFRAID TO DIE
FOR I AM WAITING FOR YOU
IN THE SKY!

LOVE AND PRAYERS,

Few of us will leave this earth having made a difference in so many lives but she made a difference for those of us who were lucky to have known her and have the privelege of calling her friend!
