I AM SADDENED TO LEARN OF KATHY'S PASSING. SHE WAS A GREAT LADY AND A GOOD FELLOW CELT. SHE WILL BE DEARLY MISSED, ESPECIALLY BY THE SOUTH CAROLINA IRISH HISTORICAL SOCIETY. MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.

I will miss you Aunt Kathy you and the Duffy roundups all the times will be missed. Maybe, when we see each other again, we can relive all of the Duffy Christmases.

Judge, while she is in a peaceful setting now, I know it's tough losing a life-long friend/spouse. The obituary was fantastic - what a life she had!! Thinking of you and praying for you! Rick

Not many people have touched so many lives as Kathy has here on her time on Earth. I will miss her laughter and quick witted sense of humor when I had the privilege of being with her, as her friend. I know with her deep devotion to God that she is where she is supposed to be, in peace and beauty and the promise of everlasting life.

My sincere condolences to the Duffy family. Mrs. Duffy was a very special lady. Always kind and happy to help.

Michael, what a beautiful obituary. I was so impressed with all of Kathy's accomplishments and success. She certainly will be missed. May God bless you and your entire family. I will remember Kathy (Cuz) in my prayers always. We had such fun when I came to visit Charleston and yes, we put up with Teddy! I loved her and will miss her terribly.

To the Duffy family -- I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She was an extraordinary lady, and will be greatly missed. I will always fondly remember her kindness, friendship, and support, especially during the years that my mother was battling her illness. I wish you all condolences and peace, and hope that the cherished memories of your time with her will help to ease the pain of your loss.

Michael, I am so very sorry that Kathy has left this earth & rejoice in her eternal life.

What a truly remarkable lady. I am so proud to have known her. I know she is soaring with the angels!

I first met Kathy through the Palmetto Lowcountry Health Systems Agency. She was truly a community servant and made such a huge difference, not only in the community but also in the state and nation. Thank you for sharing her with all of us. You are all in my prayers.

Oh how the community and I will miss Kathy. Everything important at the community foundation while I was there happened first with a study from Kathy which not only documented need but also gave us a roadmap for how to proceed. Along with her acumen, she brought her wonderful personality and I was lucky to call her friend. Michael, I know you will miss her dearly - but look around, she is everywhere! Ruth

Michael: I am so sorry for your loss. As you know, I grew up right around the corner from the Hostetter family and "Terrible" Ted and I were best friends. I spent a lot of time at their house on Wentworth Street so I got to know Kathy and Mrs. Hostetter really well. Kathy was an angel on earth and was relentless in her quest to help people. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Please take care and tell everyone in your family that I am sorry for their loss -- because wonderful women who made this world a better place for everyone don't come along very often.
