Very sorry for being so late to read about mother and son Jessye. I still have wonderful memories of hearing mother Katherena's singing voice in the little Charleston (SDA) church.

Hey grandma, we made it through Thanks Giving. Three more major holidays and we will have come full circle. It did not feel the same with you not being there. This is the first year that it was at my house. Just about everyone came. The thing I missed most was looking forward to making your food seperate from everyone else's and looking at you asking if you are alright over there.I have some news for you, I got married. You have met him before. He came over with me a couple of times and was at church with me several times. I am going to stop writing now its still painful. I really miss you lady. I love you!

Hey lady, this week we celebrated 100yrs of service in the Charleston area with the memorial being held today 7-15-12. It was very nice and you would have loved it. We planted a tree (which I know you would have loved) we also held a candel lighting service along with a slideshow. Your mother's picture was the first to show and yours was the last. Grandma just when you think you are doing well with what happened you are really not. I thought I had it all under control until I saw your picture. I miss you so much, it is not a day that goes by and we don't think of you. Every Sabbath your name comes up and we just laugh because its something funny you said or did. I am pretty sure that just like me your daughters cry when they are alone after talking about you. I know that with time we will not cry, I am just not sure when that day will be. Until then we will just keep missing you and remembering all that you shared with your family along with all the love you gave us. Forever missing you, your granddaughter, Adrian

Grandma, this is the first Mother's Day without you. I don't know how your girls are going to handel it but your granddaughter is not handling this well. Remembering you is the easy part, letting go is way to hard. I know you lived a full life and we had you for so long. You were here for my growing up. I had you for 41 yrs and I still wasn't ready for you to go. This is going to be the first of many things that you won't be around for. We will have to stay strong and remember the good times we shared through the years. Tomorrow will not be the same without you here. You truly never know how much you miss someone until they are no longer here. Grandma, love you always, rembering you forever, forgetting you never. Your granddaughter, Adrian

Grandma, this is so hard. I didn't think it would be. I find myself waking up and thinking about you with tears in my eyes. I know with time it will get better and the hurt I feel will fade away. I just miss you more and more every day.

Dear Family,

How very sorry we were to hear of Aunt Katherena's passing. Our thoughts and prayers, are with you at this sad and difficult time.

Aunt Katherena was blessed with so many wonderful experiences and a long and productive life. You all must feel blessed as well to have had her a part of your life for so long.

Our faith tells us that God is showering his blessings on you at this very moment as well. The Bible says "Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted." I pray that you will find peace and comfort in these words and that God will give you the strength and courage to go on.

Love your cousin Charles, Rose Moody and Family

I Have A Place In Heaven

Please don't sing sad songs for me,
Forget your grief and fears,
For I am in a perfect place
Away from pain and tears

It's far away from hunger
And hurt and want and pride,
I have a place in Heaven
With the Master at my side.

My life on earth was very good,
As earthly life can go,
But Paradise is so much more
Than anyone can know.

My heart is filled with happiness
And sweet rejoicing, too.
To walk with God is perfect peace,
A joy forever new

With Love,

Grandma, not a day will go by that you will not be missed. I am so grateful that I had you to help me through it all and for introducing me to God. The love you have for you children, grandchildren, great-grands and great-great grands will be ever present in our lives. You alwasys said "I want my flowers while I'm alive". I am glad that I was able to give you those flowers. You will be sorely missed by everyone you have touched. Grandma, I can take comfort in knowing that you are just in a deep sleep waiting for the Son of God to return. There is no doubt in my mind that you will have a place right there with him. Whenever I saw you, you always got the first kiss no matter who was in the room. I will miss giving you that kiss on your head and telling you to be a good girl. I love you! I miss you! I will always have you in my heart. Love your granddaughter, Adrian

To the Qualls and Gathers family, The question is Will God ever leaves her and the answer is No. So I ask you Will He ever leave you (the families) and the answer is No. Trust Him in what He has done for this is not the End But The Beginning. We are praying with You.
