Barry Segars

I remember Mr. Kearse. Russell told me they had made contact and I appreciated that he remembered me, Barry Segars. Karl wasn´t young when I knew him and I´m glad he lived a very long, inspiring lifetime! I remember in 1982 he slammed his hands down on the piano to quiet the room and, it worked! He was a special talent and a great mentor to us all. He had quite the job of forcing young men out of their shells. I remember them all, Rodger, me, Bill, so many too quiet singers. Used to make him crazy. More than anyone else, he added experience to my all to sheltered life. We all went to Honors Chorus and it was the experience of a lifetime. Wow! He was awesome!!

Very sorry to hear this news of Karl. I taught with Karl at SHS and played music with him for many years in a small band. He will be remembered for his many talents.
