Karen Karam Obituary

Karen Karam MT. PLEASANT - Karen Ann Karam (nee Baranski), aged 74, passed away on October 17, 2024, in Mount Pleasant, SC after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Born on July 23, 1950, Karen was known for her kind, loving, generous, and gracious nature. Karen dedicated her life to her family as a loving mother and homemaker. She was a cherished member of both St. Florian in Hamtramck, Michigan, where she was baptized, and The French Huguenot Church of Charleston, reflecting her deep-seated faith and community spirit. In addition to her devotion to her family and church, Karen was deeply involved in her community as a docent at the Joseph Manigault House and Heyward Washington House. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, baking, and needlepoint, each of which she approached with passion and perfection, bringing joy to those around her. Karen is survived by her husband, Richard Karam; daughters, Lara Karam-Rodgers and Arianna Karam; son, Scott Nadrowski; and grandchildren, Liam and Amelia Rodgers and Josephine Nadrowski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Helen Baranski, and her sister, Gale Masters. A private service will be held at the French Huguenot Church, honoring Karen's vibrant life and enduring legacy.

Our hearts are full and heavy! Full, that we were neighbors and were blessed to be in Karen's sweet and beautiful presence. Heavy, as we are saddened greatly by her passing. We send our heartfelt condolences. Beloved Karen is resting in peace now. Her beautiful life here is being celebrated with all that she did and the lives she touched. Her legacy will surely live on in in this earthly world. Again, we are blessed that God had her in our lives even for season. We send love, peace and light to you Rick and your lovely family.
