Gone but not forgotten. Condolences to the family.

She was my principal and all I can say is that she was a leader. I cried because of the fact that she was like a grandmother to me.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

She was a legacy to my children a woman a mother and wife she was the best of all qualities and the best educator surely we miss you but God love you best my blessings go out to the family

Nathaniel, we have know each other for years and I remember the love and excitement in your face when you would come into budgeting talked about your up coming marriage. Then showing me photos of a truly blessed event when you and Karen were married. Knowing this, I, will not degrade your sorrow by saying, "I understand". because I don't. I do know how much you loved her and how she was well thought of by her peers and loved by so many. The number of lives she touch is too numerous to count. Please know that she will be missed and thought of very often, because of the footprints she has left so many lives. God has truly received an angle into his kingdom. Much Love Shane & Alan Levy

I met Mrs. Brown about 5 years ago when my grand daughters started at EB Ellington. She was so nice and welcomed us with opened arms and never stopped. It shocked me to learn of her passing and it's still shocking. My grands are still crying. We loved Mrs. Brown and she truly loved her Eagles. She will be missed. I'm running out of words to tell Coach Brown and the other family members how much we loved "Our Principal" and how much we are going to miss her.

To the Hollinshead and Brown families. My condolences to the family. I knew Karen back when we worked at C21 Montez Real Estate. She had a sweet, kindred soul. May she rest in peace.

To Coach Brown, Kevin Hollingshead & family.. I extend my condolences and prayers in your deepest hour of need. I will always be grateful and appreciative of how Mrs Hollingshead assisted and helped my son. She treated him as if he was her child. I will always be grateful for her going the extra mile in our lives. CCSD truly lost an Angel .

My family had the privilege of living across the street from Karen and her wonderful family for over 50 years. When our mom passed away 5 years ago sweet Karen walked into our home and gave me a much needed hug. We went to high school together and we both drove a school bus. I will always remember her sweet kindness. The Holt family sends condolences and our love!

My heart hurts for Karen's family and for her school. She touched my life a number of times over the years in CCSD. She will be missed. My heartfelt sympathy to those close to her.

This Beautiful Queen impacted My life September 1 & 15th @ EB Ellington School. I was a Poll Manager, She graciously welcomed and invited us in, the gracious Hostess taking Time out of Her busy Day to show us Love. "Coach" and Family. It was a Privilege to receive a touch from the Master' Hand through Her. The Earthly Angel is in Her Heavenly Home. "Blessed are they who weep now for they shall laugh". Luke 6:21.

In time like these, we can only call on one man and that man is Jesus. Karen from time I met her she has always been such a sweet and kind person. Karen believe in her students getting the best education, that they can get. As a principal she did a superb job. Family I know you will miss her but look at the legacy she left behind in education. Karen is truly in a better place. To the Brown Family God will see you through.

I'm very saddened to hear of this and I send my condolences to my once Coach and the family. Mrs. Hollinshead-Brown was the best principle, teacher, and mentor a kid could have. She cared for and loved all her students as if they were her own children! I know, because I was one of the many students from the old E.B. Ellington. She impacted so many lives and did it all with a sweet voice and beautiful smile. She will be truly missed but the love she gave us will live forever!!!

She was truly a blessing to us all especially our young people. There was nothing she would not do for the children. She graciously supplied the refreshments for our Vacation Bible School for many years always with a smile. Sorry to learn of the passing of Ms. Karen. She taught me in middle school. She was a great teacher and Principal in CCSD.
