K. Singletary Obituary

K. Maria Singletary Ridgeville, SC - Kristal Maria Singletary, 43, daughter of Martha Pack Singletary and Ronald Wayne Singletary, passed away September 18,2017 at Trident Hospital. Funeral service will be held 3 pm Friday, September 22 at Sandridge First Baptist Church with the Rev. Owen Hill and Rev. Kevin Litchfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scott Weatherford, Phillip Smith, Gary Poston, Jamey Hilton, Patrick Callahan and Kevin Felkel. Maria was born in Charleston, SC. She graduated as salutatorian of her class at Holly Hill Academy in 1992 then attended Francis Marion University, where she graduated in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in chemistry. She was a former chemist at Safety Clean, taught school at Dorchester Academy in St. George and worked at the Country Inn and Suites in Summerville. She was a member of the Hill-Weatherford (Post 157) American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Francis Marion Alumni Association and Sandridge First Baptist Church. She was an avid Clemson fan. She is survived by her parents of Ridgeville; grandparents, Annie Lee Burbage Singletary of Ridgeville, Robert (Dotty) Pack of Belton; a sister, Tabitha Weatherford of Holly Hill; aunts, Marilyn (Ben) Signor of Belton, Linda Harkins of Ridgeville and Peggy (James) Hilton of Ridgeville; uncle, Charles (Laraine) Singletary of Ridgeville; 2 great aunts; a number of cousins; a lifelong best friend, Sheri Ingram; and her fur baby, Sinbad. Family will receive friends Thursday, September 21, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Avinger Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Frances R. Willis SPCA, P.O.
