Junius was such a great example of love and kindness. Because he was my uncle, I had the privilege of having many great memories of going to his home and interacting with him and his family. He took an interest in everyone around him and always talked with me from the time I was very young. He was so much like my dad, Roy, in demeanor, humor, attitude, and manner that they were barely distinguishable by looks and voice. Because of the way that Junius lived his life, he fits two quotes from my favorite book series. He can easily say, “I go to my fathers. And even in their mighty company I shall not now be ashamed.” And, “I will not say, do not weep. Not all tears are an evil.”

Junius, what wonderful discussions on life, gospel, and instructional design we had. A most genuine and positive friend. He once told me, "A lesson needed a bond between facts, skills and feelings to be successful." Changed my life as a teacher and lesson developer. I know the Lord has him at work helping reclaim the lost and preparing the spirits awaiting mortality.

my first memory of junius was while we were traveling in his pickup truck he played with us by making the sound of a cat being stuck in the truck to see if we could find it.
