June Sweeney BARNWELL, SC - Funeral services for June Catherine Sweeney, 85, of Barnwell, SC, will be held 11am, Saturday, January 21, 2023 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC. Burial will be at 3pm in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Rd., Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. June passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. Born in Bamberg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Irene Fail Gunnells and step-daughter of the late William Henry Gunnells and was married to the late Roy Sweeney. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Sweeney (Tony Edwards) of Barnwell, SC; a son, Robert Sweeney of Mt. Pleasant, SC and a daughter-in-law, Emily Sweeney of Mt. Pleasant, SC; grandchildren, Natalie, Blake, and Mike Sweeney, and Michael Edwards; great-grandchildren, Hudson and Ryder Sweeney, Stella June Schreiner, and Odin Sweeney; sister, Sandra (Jeff) Hellman of Barnwell, SC and a sister-in-law, Lib Gunnells of Olar, SC.
