MARTIN, Julie Julie Mae Carter Martin of 394 Ehrhardt Road, Smoaks, SC, wife of the late Victor Rudy Martin, SR., passed away on June 8, 2006 at The Orangeburg Regional Medical Center.. Mrs. Martin was born January 24, 1940, in Smoaks, SC to the late Clarence E. Carter, Sr. and Pearle E. Phillips Carter. She was a member of Little Swamp United Methodist Church in Smoaks, SC and Association Member First South Methodist Church of Orangeburg, SC. She enjoyed canning, fishing, gardening, and the church choir. Funeral will be held Sunday, June 11, 2006 in First Southern Methodist Church in Orangeburg, SC with Reverends, Marvin Clark and Joseph Hallman officiating. Burial will be at 4:30 p.m. in Little Swamp Methodist Church Cemetery. Survivors include one daughter, Yvonne Marting of Neeses, SC; two sons, Victor R. "Rudy" Martin, Jr. of Hampton, SC and Robert "Bubba" Martin of Smoaks, SC; two brothers, Hal Carter of Walterboro, SC and Edward Dale Carter of West Palm Beach, FL; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
