Julie Gaillard JAMES ISLAND - The relatives and friends of Ms. Julie Gaillard are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Services, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the St. James Presbyterian Church, USA, 1314 Secessionville Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Interment will take place at St. James Memorial Gardens, 1981 Grimball Road, Charleston, SC 29412. There will be a visitation Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Murray's Mortuary North Charleston Chapel, 4060 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405. Julie Gaillard, 92 years old, was born on March 15, 1933. She was born to the late Bertha Scott Gaillard and Deacon Franklin Gaillard Sr. She was a native of James Island, SC, in Charleston County. She was preceded in death by her son, Jerome Gaillard; her siblings: Levy, James, Elouise, Martha, and Devonne. She was a devoted daughter who took care of her father, "Papa" most of her life. Julie Gaillard accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and joined St. James Presbyterian in 1949. She served on the Senior Choir. She was also a member of the Starlight Gospel Singing Group. She was educated at Cut Bridge School. She furthered her education at Burke High Night School for which she obtained her High School Diploma. Julie retired from the Charleston County School District. Julie leaves to cherish: her daughters, Delphine Gaillard and Evangeline Debbie Gaillard (Andrew) McKelvey of Charleston, SC: her grandchildren, DeShawn, Shnek Gaillard of Charleston, SC, David Gaillard of Houston, TX, and Arianne McKelvey of Charleston, SC. She also leaves six great-grands: Rashaad, Kaleb, Zoe, Ryleigh Gaillard, Khari and Julianna McKelvey; siblings: Albertha (Alfred Sr.) Jenkins, Franklin "Junie" (Virginia) Gaillard, Samuel (Priscilla) Gaillard, Franklin "Poochie" (Tabitha) Gaillard, Sarah Tyce, Mary Beaufort, Carolyn Chavis, Paulette Gaillard, Randall Gaillard, Shirley (Leroy) Scott, Harriett (Ronald) McKinnie. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly. Professional Services are entrusted to Murray's Mortuary North Charleston Chapel, 4060 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC, 29405, 843-744-5488, "Where Service Becomes an Everlasting Memory."
