William R. Power

Resident of Fremont
William R. "Randy" Power, devoted husband to Anne and loving father to Jane Power Lunn (Erik) and Kristin Power, passed away May 10, 2015.
Born on Dec. 28, 1930 in Denver, CO, he moved with his family to Hayward in the 1940s. He attended Hayward High School with twin brother Edward R. Power. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank E. and Reba Power, sister Betty Aperrie and brother Thomas R. Power. Randy served as a radio operator for the U.S. Navy on Guam and had a successful career as a small business owner, sales manager and Realtor.
Quick with a smile, he enjoyed working crossword puzzles and was a proud parent and grandparent to Jane, Kristin, Collin and Jason. Randy was a dedicated community volunteer, serving on boards committed to preserving Fremont's history, including Mission Peak Heritage Foundation and Ardenwood Regional Historic Preserve.
Services will be held Thurs., May 14 at 1:30 pm at the Chapel of the Chimes. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Museum of Local History Guild, 190 Anza St., Fremont, CA 94539.
