Judy Murphy Obituary

Judy Hazel Murphy DORCHESTER, SC - Judy Hazel Murphy, 76, passed away June 22, 2023. She was born in Lake City to the late Lowell M. and Jossie Goins Carraway. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Luther "Luke" Frank Murphy, Jr. Judy retired after 26 years from serving as a Lieutenant for the S.C. Department of Corrections. She was a faithful member of Heritage Holiness Church. Survivors include her children, Jelain Chubb of Austin, TX, Tommy (Annette) Chubb, Jr. of Dorchester, Lisa Chubb of Bell, FL, and Teddy (Kary) Chubb of Honea Path, SC; brother, Jack (Gail) Carraway of North Charleston; sister, Eva C. Muller of Charleston; five grandchildren, Joseph, Rylee, Marissa, Savannah, and Aidan Chubb. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at Heritage Holiness Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at Summerville Cemetery and Mausoleum.
