Moncks Corner - Judith "Judy" Ann Polatty Medinger, age 84, of Moncks Corner, SC, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday afternoon, February 27, 2026. Born on December 11, 1941, in Rock Hill, SC, she was the cherished daughter of Roscoe Polatty and Gertrude Baumil Goff. Judy was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, where she found fellowship and faith in the Senior Adult Sunday School Class. Previously, she was a founding member of Santee Circle Community Church, dedicating her time as a ladies Sunday school teacher, a Bible study leader, and providing meals for church gatherings.Judy is survived by her husband, Neal L. Medinger; her daughter, Jodi Monroe (Kenneth) of Greenville; her son, Troy Peterson (Charlotte) of Bamberg; her bonus daughter, Vanessa Lankford (Mike) of Jacksonville, FL; two bonus sons, Clayton Medinger (Sondra) of Moncks Corner and Mike Peterson (Ella) of Bristol, TN; her sister, Hazel Alford of Ladson, SC; fourteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, James Peterson.A funeral service to celebrate Judy's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church Moncks Corner. Interment will follow at St. John's Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30 AM until the hour of service.
