Dear Cheryl, Robin, Heidi, & Zach:
I am so sorry to hear of your dear mother's passing. Here in St. Joseph, MO, I do not get the Charleston paper, but woke up this morning (Thanksgiving) and, for no apparent reason, thought about your precious Mom. A check online told me the sad news. She will be missed by many and held dear in the hearts of all! Her life and legacy are among the things I am grateful for today. Dee Dee Geraty Squires

Dear Solomon Family,
I wish to my Ashley Hall Classmate and Friend, Heidi, from our Class of '71, my deepest sympathies in the passing of her loving mother. I remember so vividly as a boarder being taken into your home for recuperation from the flu and rescue the AH infirmary to eat baked apples at your mother's insistence. And they were so delicious and restored me to health! What a loving and generous family you have been to the Greater Charleston community over the years. We are all blessed by your parents and will miss your mother's charm and hospitality from our lives but will forever remember her fondly and with great thanksgiving and celebration of life. With warm regards and love, Nancy Muller

I met Mrs. Solomon in 1971 when I worked my first job at the Sam Solomon store downtown. We transferred to the North Charleston store shortly afterwards. Mr Solomon was the nicest man I have ever had the pleasure of working for. He cared very much about the people who worked for him. Mrs. Solomon was always so friendly when she came by. Always smiling , always made me feel like I was worth a million bucks. So lively, they were so in love. You could see it in their eyes. I also so Zachary many times around the office upstairs. It was wonderful there. I share in the loss of two wonderful people who have made the world a better place. They are once again together and this time it is forever. God Bless you all.

Dear Solomon Family,
Was so saddened to hear of your loss. We have very fond memories of Judy and Melvin. Mike and I spent many lovely evenings with them during the years they were visiting Israel frequently.
