Judith Hutchison Obituary

Judith Hutchison Ladson - Judith "Judy" Ann Hutchison, 75, of Ladson, wife to Kenneth "Ken" Milo Hutchison of 56 years, entered into eternal rest on July 28, 2021. Born on October 23, 1945 in East Hartford, CT, Judy was a daughter of the late Otis Glidden and Mary Glidden. Judy and Ken met on a blind date in June of 1963 in East Hartford, Connecticut. Two years later, the two tied the knot on May 8, 1965. Five days later, they relocated to Honolulu, Hawaii. One year later, they traded in the sun for the snow and moved to Rosemont, Minnesota where, in 1968, they welcomed their first daughter, Denise Ann, into the world. They then relocated to New London, Connecticut, where their second daughter, Kathy Michele, was born. After a couple more duty stations, the family permanently settled in Charleston, SC. In 1977, and has grown from a family of four to a family of 16 over four generations. Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, as well as an accomplished retired paralegal. She was a member of multiple clubs and groups in the Charleston area over the past five decades. Judy enjoyed an active lifestyle full of fun, faith and adventure. Her favorite pastime was spending quality time with her family and life-long friends. In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her daughters, Denise Hunt and Kathy Sumner. Judy is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelcie Arnold, Megan Llewellyn, Cassity Arnold, Bradley Hunt, Jr., Brandon Hunt and Kelsey Hunt. Judy's surviving great-grandchildren are Rowan Magano, Kamden Magano and Kaydance Magano and a sister, Gwen Swanson. There will be a service on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Cypress Gardens, Moncks Corner, SC, beginning at noon. The family would like to extend an invitation to stay after the service to help us celebrate the life and accomplishments of this beautiful soul who we call Judy, Mom, and Gamma.
