Judith Boorom Obituary

Judith Ann Boorom LOUISVILLE, KY - Judith Ann Boorom, born on Feb 28, 1939 in NY to Edmond Otto Johnson and Edith Louise Sohn. She died Jan. 25, 2023. Graduated from Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1960; remained in nursing for 28 years in Cincinnati, OH. Throughout her career she had many accomplishments, but what she truly enjoyed and felt the most rewarded by doing was being on the heart transplant team, working in the OR and burn unit. Judy loved taking care of people; devoted her life to her children, smiled through the suck and most important her joy shined a light on the darkest places. She enjoyed art, music, trains, chocolate and hated exercise. She married Howard Charles Boorom in 1961 and all though they are not still together; they remained friends and parents to their children. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Louisville; Jesus is taking good care of her now. Mama, to a lot that knew her, will be deeply missed. She is survived by her children, Melissa Ann Boorom and Tracy Virginia Boorom. Her sister, Virginia Reinhard, died in 2020. There will be a service at a later date.
