Michael, Larry & Families -

I had many good times while living on Pocahontas Street in the 50's. Judy and I were good friends, and I spent as much time at her house as at mine.
We had another friend a couple of blocks over, and we had many days of fun and laughter. When we graduated from Moultrie, we started going to dances at the USO in Charleston. I met the love of my life, Bob, there; and when we married, Judy was in my wedding. The last time I saw her was at Piggly Wiggly, and we didn't have much time to talk. She was the same old Judy from way back, and her smile was just the same as then! Mike, she loved you with all her heart - you were the light of her life!! Everything she did was for you, and I know you will miss her more than anyone. Even though she's gone, you have all the memories to last you a lifetime. Cherish them and the things she has given you. You will see each other again. Keep that thought in your mind. No one can replace your Mother, but you have to continue on with your life for that's what she would want. Remember her with a smile and love, for she was special.

Mike, I am very sadden to hear of the passing of your mother. She and I grew up from the seventh grade together. As we use to say we lived across the ditch between Hindman and Pocahontas from each other. We shared many a good time together and I will always hold them close to my heart. May God Bless you always. Always keep your mother close in your heart and cherish all the good times you had with her. She was so very, very proud of you.

To the entire Barrett family from the Ward's of Sullivan's Island.
My mother, Gwen Ward, was a co-worker of Judy's at Berkley Drugs in the Moultrie Shopping Center in Mt. Pleasant, SC back in the 60's. After a few years of working together our mother, Gwen, left Berkley Drugs and our parents started Gwynn's of Mt. Pleasant. My mother and Judy always remained friends and my mother always thought very highly of Judy. Over the years as our family grew and my sisters and I married and had children, Judy always kept up with our family and always asked about our kids and kept up with them. She new all three of my childrens names and always asked about them when she saw me in the PIG. She was a wonderful lady and will be sadly missed by all.
