Joyce M. Varner GOOSE CREEK - Joyce Marie Varner, 69, of Goose Creek, SC, a retired claims representative and processor for Leo Zack Insurance Agency, died Tuesday evening at her residence. Her funeral will be 3:00 PM Sunday afternoon, January 6, 2012, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in the Rudd Branch Cemetery, Lebanon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 7:00 PM Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Doc Williams SPCA, PO BOX 565, Goose Creek, SC 29445 or to the New Beginnings Worship Center, 2816 S. Live Oak Drive, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Ms. Varner was born June 14, 1943, in Charleston, SC, a daughter of Robbie Varner and Mary Louise Powell Varner. She was a member of the New Beginnings Worship Center where she was very involved in the women's ministry. Ms. Varner loved animals and children, and was a beloved sister, aunt, and great aunt. Surviving are, her sister, Betty Varner of Goose Creek; a brother, Robert D. Varner, Jr., of Goose Creek; a niece, Lori Mullins and her husband, Ralph, of Moncks Corner; two nephews, Robert D. Varner, III, and his wife, Pam, of Hanahan, and Steven M. Varner of Goose Creek; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
