Joyce Swindell Obituary

SWINDELL, Joyce Joyce Jeannette Swindell, 65, of Ladson, wife of Charles Rudy Swindell died Thursday morning, June 15, 2006 at Trident Medical Center. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 17, 2006 at 12 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel, Summerville. Burial will follow in Plantation Memorial Gardens, Hwy. 17, Moncks Corner. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 o'clock until the hour of service on Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Ste. 504, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mrs. Swindell was born July 26, 1940 in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, a daughter of the late Ralph and Lydia Knight Williams. She was a graduate of schools in Canada. She was a member of the Women's Bowling Association. She enjoyed gardening and was a homemaker. Surviving in addition to her husband are: 3 daughters: Karen Sue Schneider of Summerville, Janet Marie Boggs of Wadmalaw Island, Cathy Jean Potter of Ladson; 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; brothers and sisters: Hebe'rt Williams, Ralph Williams, Bobby Williams, Pearl Froude, Gloria Squires, Joan Briffett and Beverly Tizzard all of St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada.
