Joyce Lynch Obituary

Joyce Elaine Lynch GOOSE CREEK - Joyce Elaine Lynch grew up in Lake City, SC & has called Charleston home since the '60s. Throughout her life Joyce loved to dance, sing, & swim. She loved traveling, boating, going to the beach, & enjoyed cruises. She was well read & an inspirational poet. After earning her BS degree in Bus. Admin. in Accounting Cum Laude from Charleston Southern Univ., she became an accountant at Berkeley Electric Coop & later Santee Cooper. After many years as a Senior Accountant, she ventured into Mary Kay & earned 7 career cars becoming a Director & then Sr. Director. Later, she worked for Verizon before retiring, and then, "Nana J" lovingly watched her great grandkids up until she was hospitalized on 2/7/24. Joyce was a devout Christian & adored her church, Faith Assembly of God. She was musically gifted with a pitch-perfect voice & sang on the radio as a child as well as on the Northwood Assembly Praise Team in her younger years. She always worked as if she were working for the Lord. She was the most generous, selfless person with a true servant's heart, always putting others needs before her own. Being a strong woman of character & faith, we were proud to call her Mom. Joyce's loving & vivacious memory will forever live in our hearts until we meet in heaven. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Lori Schultz (Earl) and Elaine Woodard (Steve); her grandchildren, Davis Schultz, Ashton Schultz Carnes, and Collin Potter (Laura) and Stephen Woodard; and her great-grandchildren, Greyson Schultz, Asher Schultz, Joshua Carnes, Arianna Carnes, Braxton Potter, and Lenna Charley Potter; and sisters, Kelsey Frye (Perry), Kim Ard, & brother Roger Cook (Donna); and nieces, nephews & cousins. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 4:00pm at Faith Assembly of God, 303 N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek, SC 29445. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Assembly of God, 303 N. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek, SC 29445. It's been nearly six months since Miss Joyce's passing and my condolences are tardy, but I just received this sad news.
A beautiful mother of two beautiful daughters, she was a superb role model. She taught them the proper etiquette she carried out so well without putting on "airs". What true class. Nobody, I've known could whip up such amazing scrambled eggs or create those tasty pineapple and cream cheese sandwiches without a hint of crust. This classic beauty with a remarkable mind was most humble. She never made anyone feel inferior with her "edge" It was never about her. She lived for her girls, grandchildren and Jesus. Living her life with grace, she pleased them all.

I am so sorry for the family´s loss. Ms. Joyce was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She would do anything for anyone. She would tell us about her family and how much she loved them. I will miss her so very much. Rest peacefully sweet lady.
