Like your name, you were such a JOY-FILLED person. Thank you for inviting me to your Circle meeting to share with your group the journey of my faith. Rest in Eternal Peace dear friend. You are dearly missed.

Dr. Geils, I am so sorry for your loss. I am afraid I just found out today. You and the children are in my thoughts and prayers.

What a shock to be writing this note to you. Words are an impossible substitute for our thoughts and feelings. Just please know how sorry we are for the loss of your wife/mother -- way too soon. She was an incredibly special woman.

Dear George, Joy was in my small group at the Drawing Near to God bible study at St. Andrews. I have just learned of Joy's death and am heartsick for your loss. She was a precious friend and I regret that I never met you or the children. Please know that our group is praying for you, Hannah and George.

I am saddened to learn of the death of Mrs. Geils, Jr.
I am praying the peace, mercy and grace of our Lord will encompass each member of your family. Through unity you will gain strength.

Our Father in heaven, may your name be held holy, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven.Matthew 6:9, 10, (The Jerusalem Bible). This Kingdom is a real Government that will soon take away all sickness, pain, sorrow and death. Our deep condolences.

I met Joy at Jazzercize years ago and even though we lost touch, I always thought of her as a friend. We had many girls talks and I always found her to be a great listener and fun to share stories with. Hundreds of friends lined around the building to pay tribute to Joy.Many times she reminded me of Princess Di.Joy was beautiful,kindhearted,compassionate,yet humble.Her loving kindness and spirit gave people Hope,and she did it effortlessly.Joy was my Hero.She had more strength than any one i knew.I loved her so much,she will remain in my heart and memories forever.Joy was my 'sister, my best friend.I will miss her so much. RIP.My love and deepest sympathy to all.

Please know how very sorrow we were to hear about Joy. I told Joan Jones that she was the perfect example of her name. I didn't know her long, but it was very obvious that she was God's child, who loved her family with all her heart.

We are so blessed that she came to our Bible Study and we were able to call her our Friend.

I meet Joy as my superviser at work in Balt. County Hospital. Soon we became good friends. I remember her talking about you George while you were dating and glowing with happiness. Even though ya'll moved to S.C. and I to West VA. We still
came down with Bonnie, Larry, Dix and Chris to your beach house. She would make us feel so welcome and relaxed, like the relationship was never changed. She held so much love in heart and gave it so freely to her friends and family. I will pray that God will ease everyone pain because I know she has her place right next to him. I will see you again some day my dear friend, JOY.

Joy was my cousin, my friend, and my second sister. We were together from as early as I can remember. Being close so close in age our moms would dress us the same and even cut our hair the same! We spent many happy vacations at the beach together with all of our relatives. As we got older, it became harder to be together. We always had an annual visit, and we would pick up where we left off.

My love and sympathy to George, Hannah, George, and Aunt Re. I am so sorry. It just seems too early to say goodbye.

There are no adequate words to express the sorrow of such a loss. I am praying for friends and family to comfort you, faith to uphold you and loving memories to heal your heart.

Joy was such a bright light in our women's study at St Andrews. Her sweet presence will be greatly missed.
